Bathers-in-training, “groomer wannabes,” seasoned groomers, and salon owners willbenefit from this day-long program. From prepping the dog for the tub tofinding the right shampoo and conditioner to proper bathing and blow-drying techniques, Teri will cover the fundamentals of forming good habits in the salon. Safety issues and handling will be stressed.

Real World Grooming: Level-up Your Skills. Hands-on with Live Dogs

This interactive class is designed specifically for pet groomers who are eager to enhance their grooming skills. In this hands-on workshop, students are required to bring their own dog, regardless of breed (no hand stripped dogs), to receive personalized instruction tailored to each dog’s unique coat type and grooming needs.
Throughout the course, participants will learn the fundamental and advanced techniques required for maintaining hygiene, health, and appearance. Topics include proper prep work, correct brushing techniques, bathing, drying, clipping, scissoring, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and breed-specific styling. This 6-hour class will provide an opportunity to practice your skills under expert guidance, ensuring you gain confidence and proficiency with the breed of your choice.
Whether you’re new to pet grooming (at least 1 year of grooming experience) or just looking to refine your techniques, this class offers valuable insights and practical experience. By the end of the workshop, you’ll have the knowledge and hands-on expertise to deliver professional grooming services for any dog that comes your way.

You will learn a basic scientific understanding of how your joints, muscles, tendons, and ligaments work. We will dig deep into the top 5 workman’s comp claim injuries, examine the injuries, review the causes, and outline effective mitigation strategies. We will also present a variety of stretching and strengthening exercises to implement immediately.
